  • Ultra wide angle lens Irix Cine 15mm T2.6
  • Full frame
  • high speed T2.6
  • 8K Ultra HD resolution
  • compact and lightweight construction
  • precise laser-engraved markings with UV-reactive paint
  • weatherproof construction
  • removable lens hood

This 110 degree field of view wide angle version with 15mm T2.6 cine is made for Canon EF, Sony E-mount, MFT and PL-mount and covers a large format sensor. This means that it easily covers the sensor of an EOS R5, but also a RED Monstro or a Sony Venice.
Of course, you can also use it on an MFT or Super 35 sensor - with a x2 or x1.6 crop.

The body of this lens is of course made specifically for video, with an all-weather seal with a fixed rear lens element to prevent the lens from being susceptible to dust on the back. The minimum focusing distance is 28 cm, measured from the sensor.

Of course, all the markings are on the side, because as a filmmaker you often work in a team, and as an operator or 1st AC you work next to the camera - and not like with a camera where you read the values and settings from the top.

The aperture ring has a stroke of 75 degrees and consists of 9 aperture blades. The focusing ring has a throw angle of 180 degrees and is equipped with the industry standard .8 pitch gears for a follow focus. Next to the focusing ring, just like the other Irix Cine lenses, is the Adaptive Ring, which you can rotate to give your follow focus more room - this works particularly well with electronic follow focus systems.

The lens has a standard 95mm mount for a matte box and has an 86mm thread on the front for filters - this is useful if you want to keep your setup small and don't want to work with a matte box with relatively more expensive filters, but want to use round screw-in filters. This ensures that you can keep your setup small if you wish.

The brightness of T2.6 stands for transmission - the actual amount of light that falls on the sensor. An F-stop refers to the opening of your aperture.
