In addition to full-frame cameras Canon also offers SLR cameras with a smaller sensor in the so-called APS-C format.

To note, there is a conversion factor of 1.6 of the focal length of EF lenses on SLR cameras with APS-C sensor. So a focal length of 50mm converted to 35mm/full frame is a focal length of 80mm. Usually they have very appealing prices for many ambitious photographers. From traditional manufacturers like Zeiss or Meyer-Optics-G?rlitz, which focus on highest optical and haptic quality, however, do not offer EF-S-only lenses in their portfolio.
